bookish Q&A ft. kaley // words blog tour✨

hellooo and welcome back! i hope you’re having a nice day so far!💙 today i’ll be taking part in a blog tour, hosted by kaley, to kick-off the launch of her writing blog, words. and we’ll be answering book-related questions!📚 i’m quite excited =)

Kaley Kriesel is a 15-year-old Christian author from Oklahoma, USA, where she pursues Jesus and studies from her home. She has been writing for as long as she can remember, and when she isn’t writing, learning, or socializing, you can most often find her playing ukulele or reading a book. She has two blogs, Words and Sketch Scribble Scribe. This tour is for Words.

ೃ⁀➷ my questions

1) What was the book that got you into reading?

  • K: My mom read the Little House series to me when I was four… those are the first books I remember. I’ve loved reading ever since!
  • E: I used to read a lot of books from the Dork diaries/Thea Stilton series, so those were some of the very first books that got me into reading!

2) Which book character do you think resembles you?

  • K: I would say Claire from Dust and I think similarly. I love her.👌
  • E: Hm, I think I’m kind of similar to Cath from Fangirl, I found myself relating to her character a lot.

3) In what fictional world would you want to live in?

  • K: The Lost Cities, from KOTLC. Not my favorite books but I would love to live in that world….
  • E: The wizarding world, definitely.🤩

4) What book do you find yourself re-reading a lot? (your comfort books)

  • K: I Even Funnier by James Patterson… It sounds silly, but for some reason I’ve read it a bunch of times. It’s not even the first or last book of the series….😆
  • E: The diary of a wimpy kid series! It’s my guilty pleasure series, and it helps me get out of a reading slump.

5) How do you decide which book to read?

  • K: Honestly now I just grab whatever book has the most interesting concept and cover and try to read all the millions of books my sister and grandma tell me to read. XD
  • E: I write down the books I want to read whenever I’m browsing through goodreads, wordpress, youtube or whenever someone recommends a book. I just choose randomly from one of those and read it.

ೃ⁀➷ kaley’s questions

1) What book would you never recommend even though you didn’t hate it?

  • E: Ah, that’s a hard one. I would say..we were liars by E. Lock hart because there’s so many plot holes, and I don’t even get what the story line is. It just seemed really random. 🤷
  • K: I think my answer would probably be Dork Diaries. I was obsessed once and they’re ok but I wouldn’t recommend them.

2) What book do you think every human on Earth should read?

  • E: The book thief by markus zusak, I would never stop recommending this book. It was absolutely incredible. I wish I could read it for the first time again. 😦
  • K: Besides the Bible, I’d say Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris. Nonfiction but it’s amazing.

3) Which book to movie adaptation is your favorite, if there are any good ones?

  • E: Heartstopper, for sure! This is probably one of the only times where I choose the adaptation over the books. But the series was just …perfection.
  • K: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. It’s an incredible movie, as good as the book. So accurate!🙌

4) Which book’s cover do you love the most right now?

  • E: The book cover of “You’ve reached Sam” is so pretty. I didn’t really like the book, but the cover looks lovely.
  • K: I’d say that The Lunar Chronicles have incredible covers. They’re good, not my fave, but they’re good.

5) What book do you wish you could burn and erase from the planet?

  • E: That’s a bit..harsh xD I don’t think I’ve hated a book to this extent where I would erase it  from the planet..
  • K: Drama by… I don’t even remember. I hated it so badly. So… idk. Wish I’d never read it.

  1. Hey, Evin! This post was so beautiful! P.S. I love Diary of a Wimpy Kid, but especially Dork Diaries; I have every single book in the series except for the newest one lol. Awesome job, as always! ♡

  2. Loved your guys’ answers! The Diary of A Wimpy Kid is definitely my comfort read too – it brings back so many memories! I agree with Kaley on Dork Diaries; I read the series but I don’t think I find it good enough to recommend, haha! So excited to see the tour’s going great!
