SOoOoOoO I have been procrastinating this for MONTHS. but here I am! finally doing it. While I was at it, I thought I’d do AMAZON PRIME recommendations as well.

I think there will be 2 parts. probably. *edits title*

Part 1 – this post will be SERIES from Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. The second part will be MOVIES.

I think there’ll be around 10 series’ for Netflix & around 5 in Prime. I don’t want this post to be WAY too long, so I’ll be breaking it into 2 pages. Page one – this one has series and tv shows from NETFLIX, and page 2 – Prime.

NOTE: some images from this post are sourced from google.

1.We bare bears

I used to watch this show when I was like 7 or 8 years old and THE DAY I came across this in Netflix, I WAS SO HAPPY. *the memories* I started binge-watching it. only 1 season is available in Netflix – which I’m *kind of* sad about. and my favorite character is Ice bear. Now I’m obsessed with this show.

for : Kids,tweens,teens – everyone.

DESCRIPTION

Three brother bears awkwardly attempt to find their place in civilized society, whether they’re looking for food, trying to make human friends, or scheming to become famous on the internet. Grizzly, Panda and Ice Bear stack atop one another when they leave their cave and explore the hipster environs of the San Francisco Bay Area, and it’s clear the siblings have a lot to learn about a technologically driven world. By their side on many adventures are best friend Chloe (the only human character in the cast), fame-obsessed panda Nom Nom, and Charlie, aka Bigfoot.

2. Alexa & Katie

I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH. It is amaaaaziiiinnnnnnggg!!!!! You should def watch dis show. I binge-watched season 4 the day it came out. in 3 hours. that’s a lot of screentime. This show is THE perfect show to watch with your best friend.

for: Tweens & Teens

Description

Lifelong best friends Alexa Mendoza and Katie Cooper are anticipating the start of their freshman year of high school. They confront a crisis that leaves them feeling like outsiders at a time when what seems to matter most is fitting in

3. The Baby-sitters’ club

I LOVE this series a lot!!! I really want a season two. This series is inspired (?) by the book series. I’ve read 2 books from this series and I’m really happy that this was turned into a series, and I love how the characters are portrayed – they are almost exactly how I pictured (?) them when I was reading the books, even if there ARE illustrations.

for: Tweens & Teens

Description

The Baby-Sitters Club is an American kids-drama series, based on the best-selling book series, that follows the friendship and adventures of Kristy Thomas, Mary-Anne Spier, Claudia Kishi, Stacey McGill, and Dawn Schafer as the middle-schoolers start their babysitting business in the fictional town of Stoneybrook.

4. The Inbestigators

This was one of the first shows I watched in Netflix – and it’s a pretty good one. This show follows 4 investigators – Ezra,Maudie,Kyle and Ava who solve problems (?) in each episode. not the best description, but its something. I really liked this show when I first watched it but now, I still do but not a lot.

For: Kids & Tweens

Description

When Ezra Banks meets Maudie Miller, an aspiring private investigator, they form a detective agency run by children. They are joined by two other kids from grade five, Ava and Kyle. Ava brings the social skills and Kyle brings the athletic prowess. Operating out of the granny flat in Ezra’s backyard and led by Maudie, they scour through clues to solve a school or neighborhood whodunit mystery in each episode

5. My Perfect Landing

This show came out recently. (recently meaning this year,or a few months ago.) and..I decided to check it out! It’s another show with gymnasts. (there are so many out there😂) the first episode was pretty good, then it gets boring, but towards the end it gets more.. interesting? idk, I didn’t like this show A LOT. but you might like it?

For: Kids & Tweens.

Description:

My Perfect Landing is an American series that chronicles the life of an aspiring young gymnast, Jenny Cortez, as she strives to adapt to her new surroundings after moving from Miami to Toronto. Upon reaching, Jenny discovers her inner talent and embarks on a journey to fulfill her dream.

6. Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures.

No, I don’t watch Barbie. I mean I used to. Lemme explain:

It was a VERY boring night, and I wasn’t able to fall asleep. I was surfing through Netflix when I saw “Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures.” and I was like “why not?” and I watched the first episode. and the next. and the next. It was actually a really good series! I’ve watched all the episodes and you should check it out sometime.

For: all.

Description:

Barbie embarks on adventures with friends and family — including next-door neighbor Ken — in this animated vlog of adventures filmed inside her family’s new dreamhouse.

7. Boss Baby – Back in Business

I really liked the first boss baby movie, so I wanted to watch the second one. I saw that in Netflix, It was a SERIES and not a movie. I watched the first 2 episodes and then I got bored. It would’ve been better if it were a movie.

For: Kids.

Description

With a little help from his brother and accomplice, Tim, Boss Baby tries to balance family life with his job at Baby Corp. headquarters.

8. Brainchild

I think this was the last series I watched? This one is a SCIENCE one – it is SO INTERESTING! I really like this show and I want a season 2. the best thing about this is the way things are explained. (I’m not the best at writing my own descriptions)

For: all.

Description:

From germs and emotions to social media and more, it’s the science of the world explained in a way that’s refreshingly relatable

9. Izzy’s Koala world

This came out recently. It’s a series about a family who takes cares of Koalas in Australia? It’s a pretty good series, I liked it.

For: all. (mostly kids & tweens)

Description:

Young koala caretaker Izzy Bee and her family rescue cuddly creatures in need and help them head back into the wild on Australia’s Magnetic Island

There are a couple more series’ I’ve watched, but I don’t feel like writing descriptions for them, so here are the names of the series’ :

  • Horrid Henry (Animated tv show – kids)
  • A series of Unfortunate events (series – all)
  • Project Mc2 (series – kids, tweens and teens (?) )
  • The Worst Witch (series – kids & tweens)

Oof finally.

  3. YEAHHHH Life in The Dreamhouse!!! I discovered that show when I was like 15 and proceeded to watch all the episodes. 😂💕 even though all the characters are kids toys, there are SO many amazing jokes!! Like that one the middle sister makes (not Chelsey, but the next oldest one – can’t remember her name now 😭😂), she went camping and started to make a campfire then was like “wait how can I make a campfire with plastic sticks??” 🤣👏🏼👏🏼
And Just Add Magic is an AWESOME show too!! They did SUCH a good job with it. I loved watching the first few seasons! I didn’t keep up with it after that 😅😂

  4. THE INBESTIGATORS( I love all four of them so much, the WAY mauddie is so serious with kyle sometimes and how Ezra thinks he gets every investigation right but then muaddie steps in like, nah doe, das my job-😏), ALEXA AND KATIE (Katie’s lit-) I’ve seen a lil’ bit of The Babysitters Club and I think I saw every single ep of Barbie when I was like 7, what a marathon that was-

      1. At least now I know it isn’t the different region thing and I can watch it in my parent’s thing. sometimes because of the region it doesn’t show some stuff..

  6. Ooh, great recommendations! I haven’t seen any of these unless I was babysitting or with little kids, but I’m sure that these are great for kids and younger teens. I often have trouble finding stuff to watch because it’s either too young or too mature.

  7. Oh myyyyyyy
I’ve seen The babysitter’s club, Alexa & Katie, My Perfect Landing, and Boss Baby: Back in business! And ok, even I binge-watched season 4 and finished it in 2 days! I’m so sad that it ended…it was my favoriteeeeee TV show of all time! And still is!!! I love their friendship sooo much that I wish even my best friend lived beside me and we could meet on a tree😂🥺
The babysitter’s club also was truly amazing, and I can’t wait for more seasons to comee!!
